Kaleidos is the most reliable device for detecting refractive errors and vision problems on the go, allowing for the exam to be performed in a natural, fun and independent way. Kaleidos is a mobile binocular refractometer and vision analyzer that measures both eyes at the same time and in under natural conditions. It incorporates the best and most complete technologies to detect refractive errors, eye abnormalities and vision problems. This portable equipment has a wide objective refraction range between -15D to +15D, and with automatic pupil detection, measurements can be obtained by having the patient look into the instrument for a few short seconds.

    Advanced Integration of KALEIDOS

The mobile binocular refractometer and vision analyzer KALEIDOS integrates seamlessly with the Vision Fit Adaptive Optics Refraction System, offering advanced mobile refraction capabilities. This lightweight, wireless system is designed for easy transport and setup, ideal for remote applications and screenings even in tight spaces (with a refracting distance as short as 1 meter), providing flexibility for both objective and subjective refractive exams. Key features include quick and objective binocular refraction measurements, precise ocular alignment assessments, detection of major amblyogenic factors like anisometropia and media opacities, and over-refraction with spectacles and contact lenses. It also includes objective dynamic pupilometry.

The KALEIDOS finds applications in ophthalmic and optometric practices, pediatric eye care, orthoptics, pediatricians' offices, vision screening programs, mobile eye care services, and occupational medicine.

    Comprehensive Vision Assessment

The mobile binocular refractometer and vision analyzer KALEIDOS not only measures myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism but also provides early detection and diagnosis of phorias, tropias, and other amblyogenic factors. It also identifies sight anomalies related to anisometropia, anisocoria, strabismus, and phorias.

Pediatric eye examinations become an adventure with the 2WINNY mask.

    Advanced Measurement Principles

The 2WIN measurement principle uses eccentric photo-retinoscopy. Infrared (IR) light is projected through the patient's pupils onto the retina. Depending on the refractive error, the reflected light forms a specific crescent-shaped brightness pattern within the pupil.

The mobile binocular refractometer and vision analyzer KALEIDOS measures spherical power, cylinder power, and axis by interpreting the reflected light crescent pattern and its position. The KALEIDOS' infrared examination also provides valuable information about corneal abnormalities and ocular media opacities such as cataracts.

    Streamlining Refractive Diagnostic Processes

The mobile binocular refractometer and vision analyzer KALEIDOS can be used in a controlled light environment, eliminating distractions and ensuring consistent measurement distances. This makes the instrument ideal for rapid walk-up screenings in varying lighting conditions.

Non-invasive and fully automated, the KALEIDOS reduces pre-test time from several minutes to just seconds, offering convenience for all patients and providing operators with greater flexibility in pre-test room layout and size.

With complete documentation storage, printing options, and the ability to upload data to EMRs, the KALEIDOS represents the next step in operational and refractive diagnostic efficiency.

    Expanded Measurement Range

The mobile binocular refractometer and vision analyzer KALEIDOS covers an impressive measurement range of spherical power from -15D to +15D.

    Rapid Report Generation

The mobile binocular refractometer and vision analyzer KALEIDOS functions as a camera and operates from a distance of three feet (1 meter). It requires only 3 seconds to conduct a full screening of the patient, providing an immediate detailed PDF report for printing and sharing. This allows for a comprehensive and objective assessment of visual function under natural vision conditions. Ideal for infants, children, and non-cooperative patients, the 2WIN's compact design and quick examination time enhance usability.

    Storage and Printing Capabilities

The mobile binocular refractometer and vision analyzer KALEIDOS measurements can be stored and printed. The exams are stored internally in a micro-SD card using a PDF format. Which is capable of storing 1,000+ results.

    WiFi Connectivity

The mobile binocular refractometer and vision analyzer KALEIDOS has built-in WiFi for seamless internet connectivity, allowing easy sharing of results and diagnostics via email. It also utilizes its WiFi capability to connect directly to the VisionFit.
